Polarity conflict
✕ errorpolarity/conflict
What it looks like
VBAT mixes + and − polarity terminals.
What it checks
A net joining terminals of opposite declared polarity, or tying a polarized terminal straight to ground.
Why it matters
Reverse polarity is the most expensive easy mistake in electronics: polarized capacitors vent, protection diodes conduct hard, and chips die in the first second of the first power-up.
How to fix it
Almost always a swapped pair of wires at a battery, barrel jack, or motor connection — the named net points at the junction. And consider adding reverse-polarity protection at the power entry; one P-FET protects against the same mistake made with a real cable later.
